This course is also perfect for any Law Enforcement department who wants to train their own dog or have an in-house trainer.
K-9 TRAINER TRAINING:
Upon completing this training you will know how to properly test, select, and screen dogs for training candidates; as well as training dogs and handlers.
This course is designed to deal with specific types of training, which can range from training attack dogs, how to train drug / explosive detector dogs.
Course is 12 weeks long and takes a person from the initial dog screening process to introduction to drug or explosive odors or to patrol dog work or both, to the final certification of dog and handler.
It is also designed to train a person in how to properly maintain the dog(s) once deployed with the handler(s) and how to solve problems in both detector and patrol dog work.
The course is a minimum of 12 weeks long.
MODIFIED K9 TRAINERS COURSE:
This course is designed to provide someone who is already trained as a handler (may even be involved in maintaining training for a department) and wants to learn other techniques in dog training and related areas. The course is not designed to teach a person how to train dogs but to build on what the person already knows.
